Lucy Rose, like many others, started in humble beginnings – backing vocals for different artists. She moved to London at eighteen, but instead of taking her place at the University College London to study geography, she started experimenting and performing along with other musicians. It was around this time she met Jack Steadman, frontman of Bombay Bicycle Club – he was the first to offer her to do backing vocals for a song he had written.

Lucy Rose often played with a band – but what really took her to new leaps were her music videos. Her videos received a lot of positive attention online – with over 1 million views, making her an online sensation!

Taking Neil Young and Joni Mitchell as her greatest musical influences, Lucy Rose started writing her own songs at the age of 16. She taught herself how to play the guitar and just started writing songs. Although, still UK-based – Lucy Rose has successfully created a following internationally, even here in the US. She’s done a lot of successful concert tours – in the US, Australia, all over UK and even headlined for the Wanderland Music Festival in the Philippines.

Definitely a talent to watch out for! But hey, don’t take my word for it, check out her vocals!
